COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP

THEME : EXPLORE 2021

Camps help to create a free and friendly atmosphere. The camp members get an opportunity to interact freely with others which helps them to shed inhibitions and shyness if any. The homely atmosphere in the camp helps one learn from others and the new surrounding. As the member of a new family they learn to share happiness and sorrow and participate in daily living chores like cooking, cleaning etc The camp activities provides scope for developing both social and communication skills. 

The Planning for the camp  

A core committee of the trainees was selected well in advance with a representative from each optional classes to discuss, plan and decide the venue, dates etc.Dr. Leena Vahid was selected as the convener and Dr. Sivapriya K R, the treasurer. BMM II Training College , Kottarakara our was selected as the venue. Student committe with camp leaders Jebin Jacob and Arya S were selected.

The 4 days of community living was actually a teaching learning process. we as future eductors could learn the connection between education and social change, education its creative and social aspects, educational development through nature ,agriculture and culture and so on . This made the camp successful.
